How is प्रकटितं correct form?

Sanskrit ▴ 520

Words like patita, utthita, jāgarita, etc., are formed as participles by adding kta suffix.

But how does the word prakaṭa, which is formed by samprodaśca kaṭac 5.2.29 ¹, becomes prakaṭita. The question arises as prakaṭa is a word and not a dhātu. Then how shall we bring kta suffix there? Or is there any other way around?

प्र+कट्+क्त (कट् गतौ)

प्रकटितम् can be derived in this way. That being the case the sutra would become superfluous. Searching for a better explanation.

Tārakādigaṇaḥ consists of words that take itac pratyaya.

SC Vasu: The affix इतच् comes in the sense of 'that whereof this is observed' after the words तारका etc. in the Nominative 1st-Case in construction.

The Tārakādi class is ākṛtigaṇa. Meaning, if there exist śiṣṭaprayogas, a word may be considered within this class.

प्रकट + इतच् = प्रकटित (prakaṭa + itac = prakaṭita)
