Words like patita, utthita, jāgarita, etc., are formed as participles by adding kta suffix.
But how does the word prakaṭa, which is formed by samprodaśca kaṭac 5.2.29 1, becomes prakaṭita. The question arises as prakaṭa is a word and not a dhātu. Then how shall we bring kta suffix there? Or is there any other way around?
प्र+कट्+क्त (कट् गतौ)
प्रकटितम् can be derived in this way. That being the case the sutra would become superfluous. Searching for a better explanation.
